This paper analyzed the iron ore import state, the iron ore monopoly by suppliers in the world market, the competition from Japan and European Union iron companies. China iron ore supply security is not very well. The risk will be stronger in the future because that China iron ore import is on a passive situation. There are several proposals for reducing the iron ore supply risk: speeding the utilization of low-grade iron ore; encouraging the strategy of "Going Global" for more mineral resources; strengthening the reclamation of iron for reducing the reckon on iron ore; establishing the strategic iron ore reserve; enhancing the management of iron ore import & export by centralizing stock, stocking from more channels, controlling the iron ore export.
