Discussion on new ideas for China′s resource security strategy

In recent years, China has become a powerful consumer of mineral resources along with the rapid development of national economy, while the growth of exports in foreign trade relies heavily on the exports of products associated with mineral resources, namely the imports and exports of mineral resources are unbalanced with the export volume far greater than import volume. In addition, the growth rate of domestic resource reserves is lower than the consumption rate and the reserves newly ascertained are insufficient to make up for the annual consumption. Therefore, it is of great significance to discuss new ideas on China's resource security strategy in the face of the status quo of China's resources and China's socio-economic development.
