Study of technical method on looking for coal field inside the concealed uplift area

The study on the related techniques and prospecting model for the forcast of concealed coal field inside the concealed uplift area where it was believed to be no-coal area previously is rare in the country.Based on regional geological background and comprehensive study,new methods are developed.Low gravity and low magnetic areas are considered to be good target areas for resudual concealed coal field.Then high resolution reflected wave sesmic method is used to ascertain the thickness of Cenozoic rock strata and the depth of coal bed.Finally the geophysical-geological prospecting model is developed and the result is quite good according to the drilling verificaiton.This prospecting model is of great significance for looking for coal inside the concealed uplift area in the whole North China Platform.In conclusion,the combination of gravity,magnetic and sesmic exploraiton methods is an effective way to look for coal field inside the concealed uplift area.
