Abstract
Kerosene,of which the test has investigated the dosing methods,is treated as the collector of a lowgrade molybdenum ore flotation. The research of aerosol flotation characteristics has been done from three stages of roughing, cleaning and scavenging respectively. The test mainly studies the effects that the aerosol dosing has on kerosene dosage, flotation rate and molybdenum recovery of each flotation stage, and comparison has been done between aerosol dosing technology and conventional dosing technology. The results show that aerosol flotation shows unique advantage in the stages of roughing and cleaning rather scavenging. Compared with traditional flotation,in roughing stage, aerosol flotation improved molybdenum recovery by 2. 01%,and the kerosene dosage had been saved by approximately 40% and the flotation time had been shortened by about 40%,while in cleaning stage, aerosol flotation improved molybdenum recovery by 1. 12%,and the kerosene dosage had been saved by approximately 50% and the flotation time had been shortened by about 37%. Aerosol flotation has advantages of improving the drug effects, reducing the amount of reagent, speeding up the flotation rate and improving flotation indexes and so on.
