    Application of multi-source and multi-temporal RS image classification method in REE mineral development and environment variation in the Ganzhou mineral district

    • REE mining easy to damage the ecological balance, resulting in soil erosion and pollution. This paper took the Ganzhou REE mine as example to study the methods of by using Multi-source and Multi-temporal remote sensing data, special change of mineral distribution as well as 17 years of environment variation at the Ganzhou mineral district was extracted. A method has been adopted which used the"post-classification comparison" change detection technique to extrat environment variation information.Meanwhile,In order to classify the study area which on the condition of soil erosion, vegetation cover and terrain slope has been caculated. Furthermore, The mining area and its surrounding environment changes has been evaluated. Based on the study, a basis of further development of the Ganzhou REE mine management were provided.
