Abstract
Along the southern bank of Xilamulun River, which located in the Caledonian fold belt of the outer rim of the northern margin of the North China Craton, a 200km long molybdenum polymetallic metallogenic belt has been found in recent years. The new metallogenic belt should be an important molybdenum polymetallic metallogenic belt after Xiao Qinling and Yanshan-Liaoning molybdenum metallogenic belt in China. Preliminary study on three representative ore deposits of the belt shows that ore-forming main relates to magmatic activities in Yanshanian period. Several advices about further research work have proposed since weak basic study on the belt.
