Geological characteristics of bauxite and prospecting thoughts in Guangxi

Bauxite is an abundant supply of mineral ores in Guangxi Province, owing considerable prospecting potential. The bauxite ores explored and utilized occupies only 8% of the total reserves. This paper, based on analyses of general geological characteristics and metallogenic rules, and present utilization situation, suggests that we should plan a comprehensive exploration of the whole resources, expedite prospecting and exploitation, and make a reasonable use of the resources in the province.
