Substance flow analysis of cobalt in China in 2015

China is the world's largest consumer of cobalt.In the future, totally understanding of the flow of cobalt is the basis for scientific and efficient use of cobalt resources.Based on the “STAF (stocks and flows)” model, this paper analyzed the flow of the cobalt in China in 2015, and obtained a number of key indicators of the cobalt industry chain:C_Z=85%, S_C=0.12 t/t, and Q_C=0.19 t/t.After analyzing the relevant indexes, the following suggestions are given for the recycling of cobalt resources in China.To increase the domestic cobalt resources exploration efforts, and improve the strategic reserve of cobalt resources system; to strengthen international cooperation, achieve the diversification of import mode and channel; optimization of cobalt waste recycling management system, to improve the recycling of cobalt resources.
