Relationship between gully density and landslide based on GIS and information value model

In this paper, the information value model with ArcGIS was used to analyze how gully density contributed to landslide in the study area, and the relationship between gully density and landslide was quantified.Through analyzing the data of 718 landslide examples, it was found that the contact zone between ridge and flat ground or along the valley which is high degree of fragmentation of the Earth surface and is high gully density values made a significant contribution to most landslide. The research results correspond to the actual condition very well and it can be provide guide for landslide disasters and eco-environment protection in the study area.
