    The application of silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide material in mining machinery

    • The material quality is a key obstacle factor for mining machinery manufacture in China. The production methods of silicon nitride bonded silicon carbide include general sintering and reverse reaction sintering mainly. And the latter is favorable to obtain the higher performance product with low cost. Its hardness is three times of wear resistant cast steel. It can be applied to wear resisting parts of mining machinery(such as cyclone, slurry pump, excavator and so on) due to its wear resistance, high temperature resistance and corrosion resistance properties. It has a wide application prospect. There were domestic precedents of slurry pump impeller. In order to this application, its uniformity of structures, impact toughness, connection with other parts, and forming, bonding and spraying technology needs further improvement in future.
