Study on beneficiation of low grade zinc oxide from a tailings

A sample of tailings contains 0.86% Pb, 2.86% Zn and 1.52% S, and the experimental recycling researches were carried out by adopting the separation processes of flotation-shaking table, flotation-spiral-shaking table, flotation-Falcon concentrator-shaking table, desliming-flotation and non desliming-flotation. Test results show that the non desliming-flotation process in the best for bencficiation of the tailings, the grade of zinc concentrate is 28.42% Zn, and the recovery is 75.60%.
