A STUAY ON PROMOTING THE COLLECTION PERFORMANCE OF ARSENIC ACID IN RUTILE FLOTATION

Abstract
The test of rutile flotation had found the coarse flotation concentrate is 75. 41 % TiO2, withrecovery of 68. 25 % by using compoiste collector (BF2/E4) to float rutile. The TiO2, conteut of coarse con-centrate is 76. 24 % with recovery of 66' 89 % by using single BAA as a colleetor of rutile flotation. Both re-sults are about the same. The BF,/E4 consists of benzyl arsenic acid (BAA), non-ionic surfactant (F2) andionic surfactant (E,) in proportion as 1: 1: O. O2. On this condition of using same quantity colleetors tofloat rutile, the quantity of the BAA in composite BF2/E4 is half as large as single BAA used as collector, meanwhile, F2 distribution is extensive, its price is low and F2 is norpoisonous- By using BF2/E4 as rutileflotation collector, not only the flotation recovery of rutile will enhance, but also flotation cost will cut downabout l/3. The composite collector BF,/E4 will also reduce the environment pollution.
