GEMOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF SERPENTINE CAT′S-EYE IN SICHUAN PROVINCE

A study on serpentine Cat's-eye in Sichuan Province has been carried out by mean of X-ray diffraction, election microprobe, infrared spectra, scanning election microscope, etc. The result show that the major composition of the serpentine Cat's-eye is chrysotile. Cat's-eye and color development mechanism are also discussed in this paper.
