Findings of the deep Pb-Zn ore and its geological significance in Panlong lead-zinc mine

Panlong lead-zinc mine is located in the south end of Guangxi Xiangzhou-Wu Xuan barite-lead-zinc metallogenic belt. It was known as a middle-scale Pb-Zn deposit based on the precious general geology survey and detailed geology survey.In near two years, a large-scale Pb-Zn ore bodies were founded below elevation -150m in this mine by studying the deposit geology, ore-controlling factors, metallogenic regularity and the new views of Pb-Zn ore formation of geological work is not confined to the past and prospecting ideas, a bold attempt to carry out deep prospecting,and to explore.The Panlong lead and zinc exploration profile, geological setting and features were introduced. The ore-controlling factors, mineralization regularity and the successful experiences about exploration to the deep ore bodies were summarized in this paper. These experiences maybe are useful and significant to the near Xiangzhou-Wuxuan distict.
