Study on the strategy of industry transformation of resource-based city:A case study about Panjin city

Resource-based cities have once made great contributions to the development of national economy. But with decreasing resource reserves, rising exploring costs and increasing difficulty of the development, resource-based cities have now been facing with serious constraints. The article takes the city of Panjin as an example. Based on the analysis of the particularity of the region's industry foundation and industrial structure, the author proposed specific measures for the industrial transformation of Panjin, providing a scientific basis for implementing the strategic policy of Revitalization of the old industrial base of Northeast China.
