Spatio-temporal variation of land surface temperature in the coalmine area of Zhundong in Xinjiang

Abstract
This article is about retrieving the land surface temperature in Wucaiwan coalfield before-and-after mined in Xinjiang by using the Monowindow algorithm and Weng algorithm with the images of Landsat7/ETM+ taken in July 22th,2005 and June 10th,2013.Compared the inversion results with the measured data by thermal infrared radiometer,it proved that the Monowindow algorithm has higher precision than Weng for retrieving the land surface temperature in this study area.Based on this,it concludes after analyzing different LST distribution patterns that ① on temporal scales, the highest temperature before mining went 42.7℃ to 49.2℃while the lowest was higher 4℃.The LST mean value in 2013 being 35.1℃ was higher than that of 2005 being 30.8℃.② on spatial scales, the coalmine area terrain distinctively present typical heat island effect between the Kalamali mountain in its north and Tianshan mountain oasis band.
