The actuality and countermeasure of the iron ore resource in China

The iron ore resource in China is of the following characteristic:①distributing abroad,but relatively centralizing;②The type of deposit is integrated;③The lean ore is more, but the rich ore is less,the type of ore is complex;④The availability component of concomitant and commensal is more and the difficulty of comprehensive utilization is large. In recent years, the resource reserves of iron ore in China is downtrend.In 2008,the output of iron ore in China is 8.12 hundred million ton,but the importation is 4.44 hundred million ton,the dependence rate on fremdness is 52.24%.From the angle of strategic,the supply of iron ore can’t depend on importation.Thus,we must take action:①increasing the funds input of geology prospecting to look for the supersede resource in the depth and the periphery of mine;②paying attention to apply the new technique and new means to prospect;③strengthening the iron ore prospecting in the West and backcountry district to pledge the security supply of iron ore resource;④Carrying out the “gotten out” strategy, incorporating and buying the foreign company.
