Study on approach of remnant ore recovery in north region of Shuangyashan iron mine

The ore body in north region of Shuangyashan Iron Mine is medium thick with a steep dip, a low-grade and a poor stability, and has been mined by means of the short-hole shrinkage method. Lots of ore was remained at the shrinkage stope between 1~12 exploration lines in the 220m level because hanging wall falling. Based on analysising the shape of remnant ore, a drift recovery scheme was proposed. It is proved by analysis and practice that this new scheme has a good practicality in recovery of the remnant ore.
