Dielectric constant and tribocharging of minerals companying with coal

Abstract
It is useful to study the electric property and tribocharging of minerals companying with coal that can be helpful to know the triboelectrostatic beneficiation of fine coal. Pyrite, kaolinite, quartz and calcite are systemically studied. At different temperature and humidity, the dielectric constant of minerals is reduced and the tribocharging magnitude is enhanced when the temperature increases and the dielectric constant is enhanced and the tribocharging magnitude is reduced when the humidity increases. Temperature and humidity have great effect on the dielectric constant and tribocharging magnitude of minerals and so the two parameters should be controlled appropriately during the triboelectrostatic beneficiation.
