Research into benefication process of a law-grade and complex refractory scheelite ore

Abstract
A skarn scheelite ore containing 0.23%WO3,24.48%CaCO3,11.10%CaF2 in Hunan Provine have large amount of calcium-bearing minerals and Mo isomorphously replaces W in scheelite.This paper presents a new technology of tungsten flotation for the ore,which includes rough floatation at normal temperatare,concentration at elerated temperatare and acid leaching.First the ore is sent to tungsten rougher floatation with combined depressors and high efficiency collector,in which HDZ has been used to depress the calcium-bearing minerals in its cleaning.Subseguently by cleaning of tungsten rough concentrate at elevated temperatare with modified "Petrov method",a scheelite concentrate with the grade of 64.21%WO3 and the recovery of 77.70% can be obtained.Then the obtained scheelite concentrate of floatation is sent to acid leaching.The lab test shows that a scheelite concentrate with the grade of 68.29%WO3 and the recovery of 75.85% can be received .At the same timethe effective separation of tungsten and calcium bearing minerals have been achieved
