    Abnormal CO inrush numerical simulation of contiguous seams under fire area based on FLUENT

    • According to the particularity of mining contiguous seams under fire area,considering the special case of roof caving in the upper fire area,the theoretical model of impact air-flow hazard after roof caving was established.Based on the analysis of seepage characteristics in the goaf mathematical model was determined.Then the paper determined the physical model of numerical Simulation and the setting of related parameters and did the numerical simulation of air leakage and distribution of CO under the condition that the working face applied positive pressure ventilation and roof caved in the upper fire area by Fluent.The simulation results are consistent with the site actual conditions which speak volumes for the importance ofpositive pressure ventilation to guarantee the safety mining of working face of contiguous seams under fire area.
