Development of reader-oriented personalized information service in university library

The main function of university library is to help the training of highly skilled personnel, so it is important to improve the service quality by supplying personalized information. In this paper, the development of personalized information service in university library is reviewed, as well as the disadvantages. Basic forms of personalized information service in university library are discussed. Furthermore, advices are presented from six aspects, including service concept, resource collection, technology development, and so on.
