Little faults in coal seam are important for coal and gas outburst prevention and control,and water outburst prevention and control.Baste on the analysis of study contents and methods of coal faults,mechanic characteristics of rock mass in coal stratum and the theory of cause of fault formation were put forward.Little fault preservation law can be find out as possible by connecting exploration and prediction methods.The fault size should be pay attention seriously in production and study,little fault prediction should be former then exploration in a mine.
