    Application of FLAC and numerical differential to surface deformation observation

    • The conventional method, which research rules of surface sedimentation, is that surface observation station is set up, and the rules are estimated according to the data observed. The method has some defects because the number of observing points is limited and the interval of observing points is constant. The paper brought forward optimization design of observation station according to the characteristic of surface deformation when FLAC software was applied to design. The observed data of surface deformation were processed by numerical differential, accordingly, the rules of surface sedimentation can be educed. The example of calculation indicated that the method was precise, reasonable, simple and convenient.
