Study on the developing countermeasures for popular science tourism in Fangshan Global Geopark based on the SWOT analysis method

Tourism for popular science is an important part of the tourism, and also is an important window of a country demonstrating the economic strength and the degree of civilization.Geopark is a new economic growth point of tourism development.Fangshan Global Geopark is rich in geological heritage resources, and contains a huge potential for tourism development.Using the SWOT analysis method, this paper analyzes internal strengths, weakneeses and external opportunities, threats of the Fangshan Global Geopark through field investigation, and puts forward an appropriate developing planning, which includes differentiated product development marketing mode design, and other strategies.Meantime, the authors provide a useful reference for the rational development of popular science tourism resources.
