STABILITY PREDICTION OF THE ROCK SURROUNDING EXTRACTION DRIFTS IN LEVEL -232m OF CHENGCHAO IRON MINE

In this paper, the concept of stability prediction of rock mass is presented, and the method of quantitative evaluation of rock mass quality using the national standard of rock mass classification system (to be examined) is introduced. on the basis of the zoning of engineering stability at level -220m in the mine, a statistic law, which is that the stability of the surrounding rock varies with the rock properties, structures and regions, is discussed. The prediction principle and method have been given in the paper, and a prediction zoning graph with the area of about 64000m² at the level -232m of the mine has been drawn. It has been proved by producing that the zoning prediction results agree with the reality well.
