Mineralization relationship of coal-uranium-REE in Mulga Rock deposits in west Australia

    • As coal-uranium-rare earth joint exploration and utilization is becoming more and more significant, the authors study Mulga Rock deposits in Western Australia:Ambassador,Shogun and Emperor deposits,as a typical symbiosis case. The authors analyze the mineralization relationship among coal and uranium and rare earth in the Mulga Rock deposits from the time-space framework in details.Based upon this, this paper explores the symbiosis mineralization modes of coal-uranium-rare earth from sampling data, materials source, and material transportation perspective. Then the authors finally use the mineral systems approach(MSA)for the comprehensive genesis and economics analysis of coal-uranium-rare earth.MSA has agreat guide value for analyzing in this paper, since it focuses on the genesis relationship thus with a broad application area. The authors draw a conclusion that coal, uranium, rare earth, and other minerals should be comprehensive development and utilization, which notonly improves economic efficiency, but also can better the environment and other social governance.
