Mineral resources status and mining environment in Russian Ural federal district

The Ural Federal District is one of the areas rich in mineral resources in Russia, its oil and gas reserves and production are among the first, iron ore reserves and production are among the second, copper reserves rank third in Russia, bauxite reserves account for 24% of the total Russian, the area is in a huge gold mineralization area, so Ural Federal District has become an important area for the use of foreign mineral resources of China now.Based on the analysis, this paper argues that the mineral resources in Ural region have great potential, geological work level is a little low, macro environment with strong investment attraction.China's enterprises should choose minerals such as oil, gas, iron, copper, bauxite, as key investment object, which are short in China with high dependence on foreign, and with large potential in Ural region, and strengthen the infrastructure cooperation in the northern part of the Ural region with large potential resources.
