Experimental study of copper-zinc separation on the Cu and Zn sulphide ores

    • Intricate Cu and Zn sulphide ores were difficult to be separated for the ore syngenesised closely and associated other harmful impurities as arsenopyrite. Some experiments were carried out by using the flowsheet of staged grinding-flotation,namely,at first Cu minerals was dressed under rough grinding condition, then copper concentrate was regrinded,at last the tailings was treat for flotation Zn.Two good test indexes were obtained by the closed circuit experiment, respectively,Cu concentrate with 20.30% Cu and 6.48% Zn,in which the recovery of Cu is 75.33%,and Zn concentrate with 48.32% Zn and 91.54% Zn recovery. The Cu-Zn ores were successfully separated.
