Influencing factors for improving core competence of geological survey institutes via international cooperation

For improving the influence of international cooperation over the core competitiveness of geological survey organizations,questionnaire survey was conducted amongst researchers of a geological survey institute.The influencing factors were analyzed by establishing the card square test model,in which such factors as staff qualification,concern on international associations and plans,participation in international conferences,acquaintance with funding sources,etc.and their correlation with international cooperation were analyzed.Besides,the questionnaire includes evaluations on current performance of international cooperation of the institute,the influencing factors for quality of scientific research and researchers’ hope to go abroad.As a result,15 influencing factors of international cooperation on the core competence of the institute and ways to improve them were put forward.
