The evaluation of mineral resources exploration in China

In this paper，the exploration benefits of 24 kinds of mineral resources were evaluated by cluster analysis method.According to the clustering results，the 24 kinds of minerals were divided into the following five categories by exploration benefit：lowest level，lower level，medium level，higher level，and highest level.Based on the situation of mineral resources exploration in China，we advise to stabilize the geological exploration investment of lowest-benefit oil and gas resources，increase the exploration technology means and methods investment of low-benefit coal resources，adjust the exploration direction of lower-benefit ordinary fluorite，graphite and phosphate，while increase the geological exploration investment of high-benefit mineral resources.
