Study on the GN8 ultrafine grinding energy consumption base on grinding dynamics

Abstract
Using quartz as the raw material,the property of the horizontal GN8 type high-energy mill and the mathematic relation of input energy E at different impeller rotating speed are studied in this thesis.We have analyzed the the content of+15μm and+10μm parts,the results show that the grinding process complies with the first-order grinding kinetics:With the increasing of rotating speed the grinding rate is increasing rapidly.We have also analyzed the energy utilization efficiency of the mill quantitatively and qualitatively at different rotating speeds in the experiment,and the results indicate that the efficiency of the grinding will increase as rotating speed increasing,but energy utilization efficiency will decrease.
