Revelation of the overseas petroleum strategies for China from the upheavals in the Middle East and North Africa

Abundant petroleum resources are one of the most important factors that made the upheavals happening in the Middle East and the northern Africa concerned all over the world.Though the oil supply in China was not affected greatly,the upheavals would threaten the domestic energy security in the long term.China's oil import depends heavily on this area and should consider both resources and the macro environment in the international cooperation.Lack of effective geological theories and materials to guide the exploration and development abroad,China's oil companies erode the competitiveness in the world.Therefore,the paper proposes some suggestions including:positively participating international competition and cooperation in the world;doing research in the strategies on the global petroleum resources;enhancing the international competitiveness;constructing the domestic reserve to response to the emergency.
