APPLICATION RESEARCH ON DEGRADATION OF AZO DYE BY TIO₂/MINERAL COMPOSITE PHOTOCATALYST

The photocatalytic degradation of azo dye with doped nanometer TiO₂/Kaolinite was investigated.The effects of azo dye initial concentration,dosage of catalyst,solution pH and H₂O₂quantity were discussed.The results showed that when initial concentration of azo dye was 40mg/L,dosage of catalyst 1 g/50ml,solution pH 4,after 4h the decolorization ration could get to 99.2%.Addition of oxidant could accelerate the reaction rate.The research revealed that TiO₂/mineral composite photocatalyst had great effect on degradation for azo dye.
