STUDY ON PREPARATION OF ARAGONITE STYLE CALCIUM CARBONATE WHISKERS

Aragonite whiskers were synthesized by bubble method in system of MgCl₂-Ca(OH)₂-CO₂.The results of XRD showed most of calcium carbonate whiskers was aragonite style and a little of calcium carbonate whiskers was calcite style.The structure characteristics of whisker were analyzed by using microscope and SEM.The results showed the surface of calcium carbonate whiskers was smooth and the ratio of length and diameter was big and whiskers were uniform.
