FACTORS INFLUENCING THE SURFACE MODIFICATION OF KAOLIN IN COAL MEASURES

The influence of particle size distribution of raw material,calcination and component of coupling agents on the surface modification of kaolin in coal measures have been investigated by analysing the modified kaolin's bolstering up rubber and its acting mechanism.When its particle size diminished,kaolin can form more interface area with rubber matrix,so it has better bolstering improvement in rubber.Under the same conditions,uncalcined kaolin has better surface modification effect than calcined kaolin.Coupling agent's properties and its dosage are important factors for the surface modification also.
