Abstract
In 2016, the global mining industry had gradually got out of the shadow of recession, basically reached the bottom of this down swing, and begun to show some signs of steady recovery, mainly as follows: firstly, the global mining index rebounded, mining activities leapt back to life; secondly, the price of major mineral products bottomed out, showed a significant rise; thirdly, financing difficulty for junior and intermediate mining companies was eased some what, and mining M&A activities were picking up. In 2017, the international mining market is expected to take the leading recovery, while the domestic mining market is likely to remain cooling under the influence of the slow down in demand growth, the supply-side reform, and other factors. It should be noted that the global mining recovery process will also depend on the overall trend of the world economy and the development of major economies.
