Research on the product and service value of geological data network

In recent years，with the rapid development of the Internet，a large number of geological data network products and services have been developed by the geological departments in our country.The products and services have improved the level of geological data service.But at the same time，there are few researches on the attributes and characteristics of the network service products，and the department in charge of geological data also lack of planning and management of the products.In this paper，the definition，attributes and characteristics of geological data network service products are defined through the present home and abroad development situation.The authors summarize the classification and discusses the values of geological data network products.Finally，in order to play an important role of geological data，the authors hold that the geological departments should change the concept of service，strengthen product research，enrich service content and strengthen the research on the standard data service interface.
