Rock surface is a 2-3D space which have complex texture and asperity attitude, and follow fractalrule statistically.It is appropriate that the in-regular surface is described using the fractal dimension innumerical quantities. In this paper, the fractaI characterization of rock jointing profiles and experienceralation between fractal dimension (D) and joint roughness coefficient (JRC) is presented and discussedemphatically.
