CLASSIFICATION OF ROCK SLOPE STABILITY FOR OPEN-PIT MINES

In This paper, a microcomputer-added classification system of rock slope stability (CSRSS) is presented based on the principle of rock mass preferred plane and the conventional rock mass stabilityclassifications. The case studies show that the new rock mass classification system works well. TheCSRSS system can be llot only used for the preliminary assesament of slope stability, but also servedas a module in an expert system for slope stability analysis.
