Application present situation and analyses of heavy medium recovery and purification by permanent magnetic separator in coal preparation

Through comparisons of the performance and efficiency of several typical wet permanent magnetic separators which are widely used in China’s heavy medium coal preparation industry,application status of heavy medium recovery and purification by domestic wet permanent magnetic separators was investigated in the article.Based on these analyses this article points out some application and research problems including short life span of components,lack of magnetic system designing innovation and difficulties in assembling NdFeB magnet,weak flexibility of the key technical parameters to process change,more emphasis on application.And trends of the future development toward large scale,specificalization,depth,multi angle are accordingly put forward.
