CURRENT SITUATION AND PROSPECT OF COMPUTER APPLICATION IN MINING INDUSTRY

Based on discussion about the current situation of computer application in mining industry,the on going research projects of Nottingham University of Great Britain are mainly discussed.These research projects include expert systems,knowledge inductive principle,case based reasoning and artificial neural network technology.At last,the expert system for the rock bolting support design and type selection is introduced briefly as an example of artificial computer program.
