Abstract
The failure mechanism of the high and deep slope of an iron open-pit is analyzed.Based on the failure mechanism,an internet of things (IoT) system for the slope is built.The internet of things system is reliable and flexible for the complex environment of open-pit mine.The bidirectional hybrid communication technique and intelligent terminal is designed,which can collect the displacement,stress and acoustic emission data of the slope.Stress monitoring data of two points are taken as an example to show the results from this internet of things system.The IoT system can efficiently monitor the stability of the high and deep slope.The method will provide data to predict disasters of slope of open-pit mines.
