Assessment of the Global Situation on Resources Nationalism(2013)

Currently resource nationalism has become a global hot topic in mineral industry and there are various judgments on the global situation of resource nationalism at varying degrees. Based on resource nationalism events and the corresponding data collected since 2012, the authors of this paper briefly explain the definition and general picture of resource nationalism and give a preliminary analysis of the global distribution patterns. Moreover, the authors answer four common questions on this topic. These include: ① What is resource nationalism? ② Which countries are involved? ③ What are the concrete manifestations of this trend? ④ To what extent has it developed? Finally, the authors predict the global trends in resource nationalism.
