    Experimental study on beneficiation for associated minerals of barite,quart and fluorite

    • A certain barite in Hunan was associated with quartz,fluorite and lead-zinc ore.An experimental study on beneficiation had been carried out in order to develop and utilize the mineral resources comprehensively.The ore contained 0.98% of lead-zinc ore,which had certain collection value.Primarily,the copper sulfate and sodium ethyl xanthenes were used to collect lead-zinc mixed rough concentrate.Then the barite concentrate was obtained with sodium silicate as inhibitor of gangue minerals such as quart,and sodium dodecyl sulfate as collector from the tailings of lead-zinc flotation.The lead-zinc mixed rough concentrate with lead-zinc grade 35.49% and yield 2.54%,the barite concentrate with BaSO4 grade 92.15%,BaSO4 recovery 94.33% and density 4.3g/cm3,barite tailings with BaSO4 grade 5.07% were obtained through mixed flotation of lead-zinc and closed-circuit barite flotation process of one roughing,one scavenging and five cleaning.An effective separation of barite and lead-zinc ore with gangue minerals such as quart was realized.The qualified lead concentrate and zinc concentrate can be gotten by further flotation from lead-zinc mixed rough concentrate.
