Abstract
Smelting sulfur has caused serious environmental pollution in Yunnan province Zhenxiong country. Besides, sulfur slag contains some recycled components, such as iron (Fe) and titanium (Ti). Comprehensive utilization of sulfur slag must be carried out due to the dual advantage of environmental and resource. The paper put forward a three-layer evaluation system which includes identifying and organizing decision objects, criteria and constraints into a three-layer hierarchy; evaluating pairwise comparisons between the 10 relevant elements at each level of the hierarchy; and the synthesis using the solution algorithm of the results of the pairwise comparisons over all levels. Further, the result gives relative importance of the 6 towns in Zhenxiong country. The results show that Heishu town ranks first both in the rating and comprehensive index evaluation which is consistent with the filed survey. The research results suggest Heishu town to be the model town of comprehensive utilization of sulfur slag.
