Application of bentonite in iron ore oxidation pellets

Synopsis Molecule structure of bentonite、Resource of bentonite in China and its application in iron ore oxidation pellets production was introduced. Required value of physical and chemical characters index such as moisture、blue smoke volume, glial prices, capacity expansion when it is used as iron ore pelletizing binder. Influence and mechanism of bentonite as a binder on the strength of green ball、growth velocity and balling property was analyzed. Reasons such as improving drying effectivity、increasing shock temperature and influence on quality of roasted pellets was discussed. Individual utilizing scale of calcium bentonite or sodium bentonite used in hematite pellet or magnetite pellet and mechanism used for improving balling effectivity was discussed.
