Advances in ductile shear zones and their gold mineralization significance

Ductile shear zones play an important role in gold mineralization since they are favorable sites for generating and transferring of gold-bearing hydrothermal fluids. This paper summarizes the relationships between ductile shear zones and gold mineralization. Different movement stages of shear zones and gold enrichment mechanism, alteration characteristics and the metallogenic model are also discussed in this paper.
