The jade mine policy in the Qing Dynasty from the Gaopu case

The paper has tried to research the jade mine policy of the Qing Dynasty based on the Record of the Qing Dynasty and archives of the First Historical Archives of China.The GaoPu case that had happened in Forty-three years of Qianlong is a good pointcut.And the case is an important episode in the jade policy of the Qing Dynasty,which had resulted in the most stringent jade policy.The government has covered the jade mining,jade trade and jade transport,prohibited jade mining and trade,and the jade trade from XinJiang to the inland was regarded as larceny,counting stolen goods punishment.All the jades seized by local governments were sent to the capital.However,the jade policy had been abolished gradually since another Emperor JiaQing.
