    Analysis of the development of coal industry in Inner Mongolia under the new normal status

    • Inner Mongolia is rich in coal resources,and the resources are mainly in the Ordos,Xilin Gol and Hulunbeier three regions,and the resources are suitable for large-scale and intensive development,and have low mining costs,huge market.The coal production in Inner Mongolia increase from 250 million ton to 1.03 billion ton in 2005~2015.That means the production It has gone through a process from being in short supply to excess capacity of 30% to 40%.The excess capacity is closely related to the economic slowdown and the intensive,environmentally friendly development concept.Optimizing production capacity,merger and reorganization will promote the concentration of the coal industry,and that will lead to the production capacity out of the market-oriented.Under the new normal status,if the coal industry in Inner Mongolia want to be out of the difficult situation,need to do the following:the coal enterprises and the government changing their ideas and innovative ideas;adjusting the structure,optimizing the layout,increasing investment and personnel training;establishing the standard system of laws,policies and technologies and control systems that adapt to the situation of coal development and environmental protection in Inner Mongolia;constructing demonstration area and model area to promote the coordinated development of coal resource development and environmental protection in Inner Mongolia.
